The Broken Pact - Regenerated

The Broken Pact is the name of The Wrekkoner’s first album, and his first “tour”. This tour begins in Crimmor at the Sly Weasel Pub, when The Wrekkoner first appears. The Broken Pact Tour takes place entirely in the kingdom of Amn. Every song on the album has a corresponding ability that The Wrekkoner has, especially the Pathfinder 1e Bard abilities, which was the ruleset used in the Wrekkoner’s adventures. The only exceptions are Touch of Evil, which is about his spear, and Phlegmtasmagoria, which is about the first bloodline power he awakened: Entangling Ectoplasm. All the music is supposed to be live vocals and drumming, with other instruments (guitar, bass, etc.) being made using the Cantrip “Ghost Sound”. Drums and vocals are the primary focus of each song, and are also The Wrekkoner's most focused skills. The Wrekkoner is untrained in strings and keyboards and other instruments, so there is purposely less emphasis on their melodies in his music. The title is in reference to the fictional broken pact, which The Wrekkoner claims as his origin (“I am he, born of a broken pact”). The nature of this pact is not yet defined, and this is by design - The Wrekkoner knows the mystery adds to his mystique and draws curiosity. Truthfully, he hadn’t yet defined the specifics of this pact, but he knows that it involves evil cosmic beings, and that the circumstances involving his (fictional) death broke the pact, causing him to rise from the grave as a horrible being cursed to live forever. If there is a real pact which was broken, it was the one Lady Vespara broke with Smuggly’s father - twenty days of musical training for twenty pieces of gold. Instead, Smuggly was kidnapped, enslaved, and horribly abused for years as part of his training. This broken pact is what created the Wrekkoner, through trauma, through fear, and as a way to escape Vespara’s deadly threat against his family.
