Lyrics
[Title-NOBODY’S FOLLOWING ME] There’s that blue car again Three blocks down from where it was I took the long way home tonight No particular cause I doubled back at Franklin Just to see who did the same Waited underneath the awning Till the traffic changed again Nobody’s following me I checked twice, maybe three No reason to worry No reason to leave Nobody’s following me I don’t stand near the windows I don’t take the usual way I switch trains without a warning Different times on different days Keep my footsteps with the crowd Never linger in the light If you think somebody’s watching It’s just sensible, right? Nobody’s following me I checked twice, maybe three No reason to hurry No reason to leave Nobody’s following me She changed her usual coffee shop Tuesday, quarter after eight Took the stairs instead of the elevator Must’ve been running late New coat, hair pulled back Head down when she crossed my street Funny how you learn the patterns Of the people that you meet She turned left where she never turns left Skipped the train she always takes Stopped and looked behind her twice maybe three Smart girl. She’s learning from mistakes. Nobody’s following me I checked thrice, maybe two No reason to worry No reason to leave Because I’m following you Don’t turn back. Don’t turn around. Just keep driving. Until you stop.
