Lyrics
[Intro] Mm… You shouldn’t be here I know… It’s just… [Verse 1] Your body is on my mind, but I can’t say it Too many eyes, so I keep it complicated You pull me close like you know I’m gonna cave in One touch from you and my good sense is vacant You dance on me with such precision One look from you compromises reason I know the consequence, know the condition Still I let your touch revise my whole position [Pre-Chorus] If they ask where I’ve been tonight You can say my name If they ask why I changed my mind We can play that game ’Cause the truth gets dangerous When it sounds like this [Chorus] You’re my alibi My beautiful lie Most incriminating Weakness disguised That’s my type… You’re my alibi The story I rationalize If loving you is a crime Still, baby, tonight You’re my alibi Mm-ah… ah… You’re my alibi Mm-ah… ah… [Verse 2] Your fingerprints are everywhere, I shouldn’t let you touch Every mark you leave behind on me is saying way too much The room becomes a witness to the secrets we conceal Evidence circumstantial, but the motive’s crystal clear Your whispered words have a strange persuasion Turning my self-control into deviation I had my principles, had reservations Now they’re dissolving under temptation What are you thinking? That information? (Laugh) Is self-incrimination [Pre-Chorus] Now if they ask where I’ve been tonight You can say my name If they ask why I crossed that line We can play that game ’Cause the truth gets dangerous When it sounds like this [Chorus] You’re my alibi My beautiful lie Most incriminating Weakness disguised That’s my type… You’re my alibi The story I rationalize If loving you is a crime Still, baby, tonight You’re my alibi Mm-ah… ah… You’re my alibi Mm-ah… ah… [Bridge] You’re the evidence I call my defense The reason I’m guilty But I refuse to confess Yeah, I refuse to confess… [Final Chorus] You’re my alibi My beautiful lie The one thing I shouldn’t want But I do every time Every time… Leave me in suspense My favorite kind of vice The kind of devastation Worth the sacrifice So if loving you is a crime I’ll still make you my alibi Alibi… Mm-ah… ah… You’re my alibi Your my alibi [Outro] Mm-ah… ah… Alibi… Alibi… Alibi… Alibi
