★─────────★──────────★──────────★ Original Lyrics | Musical Arrangement Voice based on my own voice | Cover Art © Artanne - 2026 ★─────────★──────────★──────────★ I tipped the alphabet into a pan, A comma curled beneath the kitchen light, The vowels cried, “Come catch us if you can!” While consonants came clattering through the night. I stirred an M until it murmured “mmm,” A sly S hissed and seasoned every line, The H fell in and made the whole pot hum, Then Q asked U, “Will you always be mine?” The nouns grew soft, the verbs began to leap, An adjective turned spicy, sharp, and bright, The meanings sank, then bubbled from the deep, And every tangled sentence tasted right. Ladle a riddle, spoon out a rhyme, Let every letter simmer into sense, A dash of double meaning saves us time, A pun adds pepper at its own expense. I serve each phrase with laughter on the side, The silent E slips butter to the bread, The vowels swim, the consonants collide, And all the things we swallowed can be said. The guests arrived; I served a steaming clause, A typo tripped and tumbled in the stew, It changed “dessert” to “desert” without pause, So sand came pouring out with every chew. I dropped the missing S back with a spoon, The dunes dissolved; the pudding reappeared, The guests all laughed and asked for seconds soon, The strangest course they’d tasted disappeared. We seasoned “sole” and somehow tasted “soul,” Two pears formed pairs and posed upon the plate, Then “knead” and “need” both argued for control, Till flour raised the stakes and sealed their fate. At last the pot grew quiet, rich, and clear, Each scrap had found the sentence it belonged, I tasted what I’d struggled hard to hear, The mess became a meaning, warm and strong. So when your thoughts are scattered, raw, or small, Don’t force them into rows before they’re ready, Throw in every fragment, one and all, And stir until your voice becomes steady.
