Lyrics
Wabi sabi? Koko? I lost nearly twenty pounds Mostly muscle and meat Devastation almost rendered But the disease faded in a vague retreat Yet here I am - worn and haggard Oh vanity, are you still here? I don’t know what to tell you dear This is what we have to work with Structure ruptured there's much to complete Do I push it to the limit? When the limit has been shrunken? Standing on one leg I’m quaking Close my eyes I fall I’m drunken Oh vanity it’s so queer You must delay your test I fear I need a new map a new direction Scaffold plans have changed It will take time for the erection Of the new me, a kintsugi, shiny joinery Pieces of the old me Ground up and reconstructed into finery Wabi sabi. Koko. Oh vanity, you’ll have to take my embrace Without judgment and kiss... my imperfections I’ll lacquer them with gold How bold of me Don’t turn cold it’s what I must do Oh vanity, I’ll never please you But maybe you can find it in your shallow mirror To touch and love my gilded veins The steak dried to a jerky Salty chew a different taste Aged but I still remain Put me in your mouth And savor the pain I won’t die for you You’ll eat me or you’ll starve oh vanity I’m here Wabi sabi. Koko.
