☓ / ABOUT ──────────────────── For the **[EchoChainSong]**, I once again decided to let chance choose the direction and went with a random style prompt: **industrial a- and synth + tarantella | background jazz** I couldn’t really challenge **Dhow** to work with a random style without taking that challenge myself too 😄 The instrumental was provided by **Ragnarose**, and somehow the timing made this one even more special because today is also her birthday. So this strange little loop of **Again / Ancora** comes with an extra reason to celebrate. **Happy birthday, Ragnarose! 🎂🖤** And a special thank you to my buddy Kehm. At a moment when I felt lost, your advice really helped me. Again :) ☓ / LYRICS ──────────────────── [Intro] I left the door behind me. I heard it close. Three steps later— (Ancora...) [Verse 1] I keep my coat. I keep my pace. I leave no shadow I can trace. One street. Two lights. A crooked sign. I hear my footsteps— one behind mine. I turn around. There's nothing there. Just brass in smoke and metal air. I walk again. (Ancora...) [Pre-Chorus] Don't follow me. (Dietro di te...) Don't answer me. (Ti sento...) I know that voice. I don't know why. (Ancora...) [Chorus] Again. Again. Every step comes back in time, every word returns as mine. Round and round, the same old floor— I leave once. You echo more. Again. [Instrumental Turn] [Verse 2] I changed the street. I changed the name. The trumpet laughed. The rhythm stayed. A glass went down. A chair scraped twice. Someone whispered what I said last night. I know the trick. An empty room can make a ghost from any tune. So why does yours keep finding me? (Perché mi senti.) No. That's not what I asked. [Pre-Chorus 2] Stay where you are. I said stay back. (Ancora...) I knew you'd say that. [Chorus] Again. Again. Every step comes back in time, every lie returns as mine. Round and round, the walls all turn— I close the door. You still return. Again. (Ancora...) [Bridge] Maybe you're not following me. Maybe... I carried you here. A word I kept. A sound I buried. A little piece I never let disappear. If every echo needs a voice... whose voice was first? (La tua...?) Mine? (La tua...) [Break] Then why do you sound nothing like me? (Ah... ancora...) [Final Chorus] Again! Again! Every step, every sound, every word comes back around. Round and round— I know the floor. I know the voice. I know— ENOUGH! [Sudden Drop] Ancora...
