Subtitles ready✍🏻 LYRICS/COMPOSITION BY EME LATINA (2026) ----------- ABOUT: ----------- The Challenge is FEAR and your song must be... 1. A genre you FEAR to work in... 2. Lyrics about a subject that absolutely TERRIFIES you! I decided to let the wheel choose for me—because apparently there’s no greater fear than giving up control. By leaving the prompt to chance, I risked ending up with something that didn’t naturally fit the theme, which made the real challenge finding a way to connect the two. In this case, the soundscape is a hybrid of ambient psychoacoustic horror x experimental dark trip hop x deconstructed club x industrial folk. So what do I actually fear? Being alone at night, lost somewhere unfamiliar, with no clear way back and nothing to rely on but my own instincts and whatever resources I have left. ----------- LYRICS: ----------- Where am I...? Wh-whe-where am I? Why am I walking in the dark? I think I'm lost My phone battery reads twelve percent I think I'm lost Little sounds are getting closer when I stop to hear them right, and I don’t know this place I'm at well enough to trust the night... If something happens, where do I go? If I start running, which way is home? If I call out, who would even know? (whoo, whoo, whoo) Where am I?(Where am I?) Where am I?(Where am I?) The dead of night is closing in from every side(every side) Where am I?(Where am I?) Where am I?(Where am I?) I keep telling myself I’m alright(I’m alright...)(I'm...) Am I alright? I don’t know if I believe myself tonight. Don’t turn around _-.-_> (fff, ohhhh)(oh.) Don’t turn around... Don’t turn around(don't, don't, don't) (don't, don't, don't)(don't, don't, don't) I'm close to a park now, I hear a dog barking somewhere, but then the barking stops... ...somehow that is worse than hearing it before. The air smells like rain, wet leaves, something sweet— and a buzzing starts close to my ear, (b-b-buzzzz, bzzzzz) Where am I?(Where am I?) Where am I?(Where am I?) The dead of night is closing in from every side(every side) Where am I?(Where am I?) Where am I?(Where am I?) I keep telling myself I’m alright(I’m alright...)(I'm...) Am I alright? I don’t know if I believe myself tonight. I know how stupid fear can be when you’re safe and looking back, but out here, right now, every little thing is fact... I don’t know if I believe myself tonight... I keep telling myself I’m alright, I’m alright— Am I alright? I don’t know if I believe myself tonight! (ohhhh* *sk-k-k-k-k-* "H-h...hello?") I know, I know this could be nothing, (and I also know it's fear!) I know, I know the mind makes monsters when it doesn’t know what’s near... But knowing this doesn’t help me when the dark settles in... Don’t turn around Don’t turn around... Don’t ((don't, don't, don't)) turn around(don't, don't, don't) Where am I? Wh-wh-where am I?(Where am I?) If I had to run... where would I go...!? Where am I?(Where am I?) Where am I?(Where am I?) The dead of night is here Where am I?(Where am I?) Where am I?(Where am I?) It's just a little fear... I keep telling myself I’m alright(I’m alright...)(I'm...) Am I alright? I don’t know if I believe myself tonight... I keep telling myself I’m alright, I’m alright— Am I alright...(ahh)? I don’t know if I believe myself tonight... Where am I?(Where am I?) Where am I?(Where am I?)
