Snowed in on a Friday night, not a drop of liquor in sight. The roads are buried, I can’t go out, so I’m just spiralin’ on my couch. The onions went bad, my plans fell through, I stared in the fridge like, “now what do I do?” Is the universe just trollin' me ‘cause I’m fresh outta energy. Ain’t it funny how it all goes wrong when you’re tryin’ so hard to just stay strong? Meatloaf’s plain and sad tonight, and I can’t even drink to take the edge off right. The cat spoke in furry riddles, like some midnight prophet of doom… So I’m singin’ to keep it together in this cluttered living room. The oven hums, the wind complains, I’m stuck inside my own brain. Christmas tree still judging me, boxes everywhere like they payin’ rent… I wanted comfort, wanted peace, but the meatloaf tastes like defeat. And the cat just stares me down like he’s got dirt on this whole town. Ain’t it funny how it all goes wrong when you’re tryin’ so hard to just stay strong? Meatloaf’s plain and sad tonight, and I can’t even drink to take the edge off right. The cat spoke in furry riddles, like some midnight prophet of doom… So I’m laughin’ to keep from cryin’ in this cluttered living room. I don’t need much… Just one good onion and a little hope. But apparently… that’s too much to ask on a Friday. Ain’t it funny how it all goes wrong but somehow we keep draggin’ on? Meatloaf’s plain and sad tonight, and I’m outta patience, outta fight. The cat spoke in furry riddles, and I swear it meant “you’ll survive”… So I’ll throw on a song, take a deep breath, and make it through this night. Snow’s fallin’ like it owns the place… And I got nothin’ but vibes and questionable meatloaf. Snowed in on a Friday night… and not a damn drop of liquor in sight.
