Barred from the Pub (v2.0)

[Verse] Paddy had a temper Maeve had a flair Together they were trouble no pub could bear They ordered a pint then two then four By the time they hit six they were banned from the floor [Chorus] Oh Paddy oh Maeve ye're a hurricane's kin Wherever ye go chaos rolls in The stools are all broken the barman’s in tears Ye’ve been barred from the pub for the next seven years [Verse 2] Maeve took the fiddle Paddy took the drum They played a loud jig 'til the bouncer looked glum She spilled his Guinness he stole her stew They turned a quiet night into a barroom zoo [Prechorus] The floorboards shook the rafters groaned And Paddy sang like a bagpipe moaned [Chorus] Oh Paddy oh Maeve ye're a hurricane's kin Wherever ye go chaos rolls in The stools are all broken the barman’s in tears Ye’ve been barred from the pub for the next seven years [Instrumental] [Bridge] Out on the street they danced in the rain Said who needs a pub when ye’ve got no shame Maeve twirled her skirt Paddy lost his shoe And they laughed at the moon like mad lovers do [Chorus] Oh Paddy oh Maeve ye're a hurricane's kin Wherever ye go chaos rolls in The stools are all broken the barman’s in tears Ye’ve been barred from the pub for the next seven years [Outro] So whatever ye do, wee lads Don't be like Paddy an' Maeve For ye may just be Thrown out on yer rocker too
