Lyrics
[Verse 1] He rattled in the hall With a grin of bare white bone Kids would grab each other tight Then he stood there all alone In his old red boots On the tiles by the door Everybody said "watch out" When he only waved once more [Pre-Chorus] But he danced real neat When the weekend came around Tap-tap on the floor Now the fear is coming down One wink, one spin And the room began to sway What they feared on Monday Was the one that saved the day [Chorus] Bony Benny, Bony Benny Now we shout your name Bony Benny, Bony Benny You're the life of the game Bone by bone, you glow When the music rolls Bony Benny, Bony Benny Take us all home [Verse 2] He fixed the broken gate With a grin and a shrug Carried grandma's folding chair And held the nervous pug At the fair he won With a ring toss, three in a row Now they save the front line seat When they want that bone-white glow [Pre-Chorus] He brings the extra chips He remembers every face He can make the grumpiest room Turn into a parade One wink, one spin And the old fears fade away What they feared on Monday Is the one they love today [Chorus] Bony Benny, Bony Benny Now we shout your name Bony Benny, Bony Benny You're the life of the game Bone by bone, you glow When the music rolls Bony Benny, Bony Benny Take us all home [Bridge] They said "don't go near" Now they line up for the show He was cold at first glance Now he's warmer than you know When he lifts those arms Every lonely heart reacts From the basement to the fairground They all want him back [Breakdown] Hey! Bony Benny! Hey! Bony Benny! [Final Chorus] Bony Benny, Bony Benny Now we shout your name Bony Benny, Bony Benny You're the life of the game Bone by bone, you glow When the music rolls Bony Benny, Bony Benny Take us all home Bony Benny, Bony Benny Now we shout your name Bony Benny, Bony Benny Everybody sings the same Bone by bone, you glow When the night unfolds Bony Benny, Bony Benny Take us all home
