Lyrics
[Lopagus] [Talking Intro] Gather close, my friends... And lend me your ears. For tonight, I tell the tale Of a creature whispered about for years... A creature of the shadows... A hunter of the night... The one... The only... Pop-a-lop-a-gus. [Verse 1] Deep inside her lair... The creature waits. All through the day... Behind closed gates. But when the house goes quiet... And the lights burn low... The Lop-a-gus awakens... And begins to roam. [Chorus] Pop-a-lop-a-gus... The Lop-a-gus... Nobody knows Where she goes. Pop-a-lop-a-gus... The Lop-a-gus... Something strange Is on the loose. [Verse 2] Pale as the moon... A strange little sight. So pale, an albino Would look tanned in her light. She wanders the house... When everyone sleeps. And somehow the snacks... Are never where we keep. [Chorus] The Lop-a-gus... Pop-a-lop-a-gus... Nobody knows Where she goes. The Lop-a-gus... Pop-a-lop-a-gus... Something strange Is on the loose. [Verse 3] They say she is gullible... Easy to fool. But don't underestimate This nocturnal ghoul. She'll steal all the good stuff... You thought you had hid. You check every cupboard... She's already been. [Verse 4] We passed by the graveyard... She looked through the gate. I asked her a question... And made her wait. "Why do they have fences Around the cemetery?"... [Pause] "Because everyone's dying To get in!" [Chorus] Pop-a-lop-a-gus... The Lop-a-gus... Laughing at jokes She should know better. Pop-a-lop-a-gus... The Lop-a-gus... The legend grows With every night. [Bridge] She's known to cause trouble... Or so the stories say. But truth be told... She's a good girl anyway. A strange little creature... With a heart of gold. Hide your snacks... And she'll still find them. [Final Chorus] The Lop-a-gus... Pop-a-lop-a-gus... Creature of the night. The Lop-a-gus... Pop-a-lop-a-gus... Never far from sight. The Lop-a-gus... Pop-a-lop-a-gus... Good girl... Most of the time. Pop-a-lop-a-gus... The legend lives on. [Outro] And if you hear laughter... When everyone sleeps... Don't open the door. The Lop-a-gus is hunting... For something to eat.
