Let it know my name. [Verse 1] Scarlet rain on violet silk, warm as breath and sharp as sin. Every drop unnames a saint, every rhythm wakes my skin. Red moon bleeding through the clouds, church bells drowning one by one. I lift my face into the storm— let the night undo the sun. They called the hunger sacrilege, made a curse of what I am. Now the sky beats in my veins, and the rain becomes my psalm. [Pre-Chorus] Stay close enough to hear my breath, far enough to guard your pulse. Scarlet rain runs down my tongue— before my hunger learns to bite you. [Chorus] Scarlet rain, fall with the beat, red on my lips, red at my feet. Violet flame under my skin— hold your breath, don’t let me in. Scarlet rain, I taste your call, come no closer—stay with me. I could love you, feed on you— tell me which one you believe. [Verse 2] Neon trembles in the flood, roots awaken under stone. Ancient rhythms climb the walls, claiming what was never owned. Scarlet rivers cross the streets, washing every law away. Stone remembers older rites buried underneath the grey. Before your temples learned my name, night already knew my blood. Before your saints condemned my thirst, the moon had called it sacred love. Let the towers bow to rain, let their hollow symbols bleed. Every kingdom built on fear falls before a deeper need. [Pre-Chorus 2] You heard the warning in my voice, still your heartbeat keeps the time. You step beneath the scarlet rain and place your shadow next to mine. No prayer can speak on your behalf, no vow can make the danger clean. If you stay, then stay by choice— and let your pulse answer to me. [Chorus 2] Scarlet rain, fall with the beat, red on my lips, red at my feet. Violet flame under my skin— hold your breath, don’t let me in. Scarlet rain, I taste your call, come no closer—stay with me. I could love you, feed on you— tell me which one you believe. [Instrumental Ritual Break] [Bridge] My body is the altar now, my heartbeat is the only vow. No borrowed heaven over me, no holy hand to make me clean. Love in my mouth, thirst in my teeth— both are true beneath the beat. So look at me and let me be— I won’t divide what lives in me. [Final Chorus] Scarlet rain, fall with the beat, red on my lips, red at my feet. Violet flame under my skin— hold your breath and let me in. Scarlet rain, I taste your call, come closer now—stay with me. I can love you and feed on you— both are true, and both are me. [Outro] Let it fall. It knows my name. © 2026 ☓irbaf — Original lyrics, arrangement and remix. Original melody by Meiva. --- ## NOTE I may be getting a little addicted to the wheel… 😄 I rewrote the lyrics from scratch three times before finally realizing that I had been approaching the challenge backwards: instead of forcing the imposed style to fit the text, I had to let the style shape the story. Once I allowed reggaeton, symphonic black metal and harpsichord to lead the way, the song revealed a very different face of Eternal—ancient, sensual, dangerous, and fully at peace with what she is. That unexpected detour became *Scarlet Rain*, and I’m honestly very happy with where the rain took me.
