Lyrics
Welcome back to the Starlite, darling You've been dead a while Same song, same floor One more dance Midnight at the Starlite, the old floor hums Mirror ball turning with nobody on the string I swore on my headstone I was finished with you Then you walk in with our record and I can't do a thing Just one spin, that's all I said The red exit sign turns your face to rose My feet aren't even touching the ground So how am I supposed to say no? Mirror ball (oh!) Spin me slow (oh!) Ghost of the Starlite, here I go Bass line pulling me home Every Saturday I promise it's the last You wipe the needle clean and lower it down The bartender pours a drink for the empty stool And the chandelier sways like it's the only one in town That cold spot by the speaker is me Your hand goes right through mine, you shiver and smile Tell me, how's a ghost supposed to say no? Mirror ball (oh!) Spin me slow (oh!) Piano's rolling, I'm aglow Dead or not, I'm in the show Soon the lights come up and you lock the door I thin out like breath on a windowpane Hold the last chord, hold it a little more Don't let the morning call my name Mirror ball (oh!) Spin me SLOW (oh!) Let the rooster crow, I know Rest in peace can wait, oh no Mirror ball, mirror ball Spin me slow, spin me slow (oh!) Spin me slow (ooh, spin me slow) Spin me slow
