Lyrics
picking through the branches just us two thought it was one of those perfect matches maybe not [pre-chorus] wanted the sugar right from the very start felt like summer when we walked in the park biting into that sour cherry turns out love is kind of scary didn't think the sting would stay around so long when the sweetness starts to go all wrong learning to take the tart don't need the sugarcoating to keep me running 'cuz i'm tasting that sour cherry stems are getting tangled reaching high still wonder if it matters just looking up at the sky feels like secrets in the mouth knowing the seasons heading south biting into that sour cherry turns out love is kind of scary didn't think the sting would stay around so long when the sweetness starts to go all wrong learning to take the tart don't need the sugarcoating to keep me running puckered up, still waiting learning how to stay right now still tasting that sour cherry turns out love is kind of scary didn't think the sting would stay around so long when the sweetness starts to go all wrong biting into that sour cherry turns out love is kind of scary didn't think the sting would stay around so long when the sweetness starts to go all wrong learning to take the tart don't need the sugarcoating to keep me running 'cuz i'm tasting that sour cherry
