Lyrics
I kept your picture in a broken frame Like somehow time would bring you back again I held the words you never got to say And watched the colors slowly fade away You were the warmth inside my coldest days The only light I couldn't learn to chase But every flower has a price to pay And ours was dying in my hands that day I gave you everything I had Even the pieces of myself You left me with a black rose And memories I can't forget Black rose, growing in my heart Beautiful, but tearing me apart I still feel you when the night gets cold I still reach for something I can't hold Black rose, I never let you go Even when I knew I had to know Some loves don't die, they just turn to stone And bloom forever where you're gone [Instrumental Drop] I wonder if you ever think of me When someone plays the song we used to breathe I wonder if you feel the empty space Where I still keep the memory of your face Where I still keep the memory of your face I tried to bury everything we were But some wounds only deepen when they hurt So I let the petals fall into the rain And whispered your name one last time again I gave you everything I had Even the pieces of myself You left me with a black rose And memories I can't forget Black rose, growing in my heart Beautiful, but tearing me apart I still feel you when the night gets cold I still reach for something I can't hold Black rose, I never let you go Even when I knew I had to know Some loves don't die, they just turn to stone And bloom forever where you're gone [Instrumental Drop] Now every rose I see reminds me Of the love we couldn't save A black rose left inside my heart Still blooming from the pain
