Lyrics
[Intro] Sky blue Head light Name flash Screen bright (hey!) [Verse 1] Met you In a lagged-out daylight Heart skipped Like a clip in a highlight Laugh looped In my head on a rewind You said “hey” And my feet left the fault line I used to Keep my hopes in a zip file Close tabs Never staying for a long while Then you Hit my world like a soft crash Now I’m Floating every time that you text back (oh) [Chorus] I’m on cloud 9 when you call me Signal so high it can’t fall, see? Every little word that you type Turns the air to a candy sky Yeah, I’m cloud 9 when you call me Spinning in a soft-focus movie If this is what a free-fall feels like Push me, push me higher, I don’t mind [Verse 2] Late night We’re awake past the sunrise Screens glow But your voice is the main light You laugh And my walls get a soft delete One glance And the ground leaves under me You say “Baby, we’re a strange kind” Same shade Different drawings on the same line I blush You pretend that you don’t see But I know You’re as gone as you say I’ll be (yeah) [Chorus] I’m on cloud 9 when you call me Signal so high it can’t fall, see? Every little word that you type Turns the air to a candy sky Yeah, I’m cloud 9 when you call me Spinning in a soft-focus movie If this is what a free-fall feels like Push me, push me higher, I don’t mind [Bridge] Hold up Did the world just tilt? Heartbeat Running off the grid (oh-oh) One touch And the rules get lost If it’s wrong Then I’ll pay that cost You say “stay” And the static clears All my fears Disappear [Chorus] I’m on cloud 9 when you call me Signal so high it can’t fall, see? Every little word that you type Turns the air to a candy sky Yeah, I’m cloud 9 when you call me Spinning in a soft-focus movie If this is what a free-fall feels like Push me, push me higher, I don’t mind (oh) Push me, push me higher, I don’t mind
