You started a stream, you've got an audience, your buddy shows up and wants to take over. Until now your options were "keep clicking Next Random" or "end the stream and have them start a fresh one." Neither is great.
There's a Hand off button now. Click it on any stream you're hosting, search for the streamer you want to give it to, confirm. They become the host. You become a viewer. The queue, playlist, history, all settings carry over — the audience doesn't notice unless they look at the host name.
Who can do this
- The current host — handing off their own stream.
- Admins — handing off any stream. Same button shows up for them even when they're not hosting.
The target needs the streamer role (or be an admin). Contest streams are fair game too — common case the organiser isn't a streamer themselves and delegates the live show to a friend with the role.
Where to find it
In the host controls row on the stream page, between Notify Listeners and End Stream. The little Hand off button — easy to miss because it's deliberately understated. Behind it is a typeahead picker that lists every eligible streamer with avatar and handle.
Handoffs are immediate (no invite/accept dance) and reversible — the new host can hand it back. Be intentional about who you hand to.
