Lyrics
[Verse 1] Being sixteen, counting days until tomorrow Tomorrow finally comes, and time I wanna borrow Oh my gosh Make time stop We keep thinking about the future, longing for the best Then tomorrow comes, and we keep back Back in the past Now what do we have? Living in tomorrow, forgetting about today Stuck in the past, wishing for another chance To make it right To go back in time [Pre-Chorus] But there's no turning back There's no time machine We're trying to live in the now As much as we can 'Cause tomorrow may not come And the past is in the past Oh my gosh Can't you make it last? [Chorus] 'Cause when we are younger, we wanna get old And when we are older, we wanna be young It's about time Time passes by 'Cause when we are younger, we believe it's gonna last But when we grow up, we leave it in the past The memories our childhood dreams We spend our lives somewhere in between (Verse 2) Stop! I said stop! Why time won't stop? Oh no Run Oh come on I gotta run I gotta run to be someone Someone the little me saw in his dreams [Pre-Chorus] But there's no turning back There's no time machine We're trying to live in the now As much as we can 'Cause tomorrow may not come And the past is in the past Oh my gosh Can't you make it last? [Chorus] 'Cause when we are younger, we wanna get old And when we are older, we wanna be young It's about time Time passes by 'Cause when we are younger, we believe it's gonna last But when we grow up, we leave it in the past The memories our childhood dreams We spend our lives somewhere in between (Outro) Living for tomorrow Living in the past Should we try to make this moment last? It's about time, everything is about time Longing for a future that may never come Stuck in the past, stuck in what is done It's about time Everything is about time
