5.) No Witness

No lights. No traffic. No witnesses. Midnight hanging off the overpass steel, City in the mirror but it don’t look real. White lines cutting like they want my blood, Engine down low with a bad-ass thud. No texts. No calls. No name in the seat. Just tire hiss chewing underneath me. Hands on the wheel like I’m holding a grudge, Every damn mile saying don’t you budge. I don’t need peace, I just need the lane, Need enough speed to outrun my brain. Need that motor loud enough to kill Every buried thing I still can’t spill. When the road goes black I can feel it rise Something mean inside With no alibi No witness when I tear through the night No witness to the war inside No halo, no prayer, no fucking light Just redline rage and a twisted mind No witness when the mask gives out No witness when the hurt gets loud If I go too far, let the blacktop decide No witness to the war inside Cut the dark Kill the light No witness All night Dash glow blue like a morgue on wheels, Cabin full of things I never healed. Needle keep climbing, jaw locked tight, Trying not to snap on a dead-end night. No church out here, no voice saying stop, Just gear to gear and the engine knock. Every green sign flash like a warning shot, Every lost name hitting harder than rot. So I pin that pain under throttle and steel, Let the car say the shit I don’t reveal. No soft lie left, no clean way through, Just me and the dark and what hurt can do. When the road goes black I can feel it rise Something mean inside With no alibi No witness when I tear through the night No witness to the war inside No halo, no prayer, no fucking light Just redline rage and a twisted mind No witness when the mask gives out No witness when the hurt gets loud If I go too far, let the blacktop decide No witness to the war inside No camera flash No saving grace No one left To read my face No second chance No exit sign Just steel, smoke, And this rage of mine NO WITNESS NO WARNING NO MERCY TILL MORNING NO WITNESS NO SAVIOR JUST BLACKTOP AND DANGER No witness when I tear through the night No witness to the war inside No halo, no prayer, no fucking light Just redline rage and a twisted mind No witness when the mask gives out No witness when the hurt gets loud If I go too far, let the blacktop decide No witness to the war inside If the road saw what I became tonight… it won’t say shit.
